After helping our client design, build, and estimate the size of their Oracle Exadata Database Machine, we integrated it with backups, monitoring, and other parts of their existing production environment.
About the Migration
- We migrated the client’s data using Oracle Data Guard, Database Upgrade Assistant, and Data Pump during a two-day window of downtime.
- We took care of the client’s affected applications:
- We upgraded their middleware and modified their Oracle Net configuration files on multiple application servers and personal computers.
- We ran several SQL tuning sessions. - We performed two migration rehearsals for each of the client’s systems.
- We worked with the client for about nine months to plan, design, and complete the migration.
